Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Kin ("the App"), developed by ED AI ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using Kin, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Kin

Kin is a conversation prompt application designed to help couples and families connect through science-backed questions. The App can be used without creating an account. All personal data is stored locally on your device.

2. Licence

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Kin for personal, non-commercial purposes on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

3. Kin Pro Subscriptions

Kin offers optional Kin Pro subscriptions that unlock additional features, including deeper question packs and unlimited custom questions. Subscriptions are auto-renewable and billed through Apple's App Store.

• Subscription products: edai.kin.pro.monthly and edai.kin.pro.yearly
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings
• You can restore purchases from within the App's Settings screen

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's refund policies. ED AI does not process refunds directly.

4. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use Kin only for lawful, personal purposes
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or distribute the App
• Not use Kin in any way that could harm others or violate their rights
• Be responsible for all content you create within the App (custom questions, notes, photos)

5. Local Data

All data you create in Kin is stored on your device. You are responsible for backing up your device. We are not liable for data loss resulting from device failure, App deletion, or use of the "Delete Local Account Data" feature in Settings.

6. Apple Intelligence Features

Certain features use Apple system frameworks and are only available on supported Apple Intelligence devices. Kin provides fallback experiences on unsupported devices. Availability may vary by region, language, and Apple account configuration.

7. Disclaimer

Kin is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Kin is a conversation tool and is not a substitute for professional counselling, therapy, or medical advice. If you or someone you know is in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or emergency service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ED AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Kin. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for Kin Pro in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Kin after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The current version is always available at this URL.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
